A country pub near you oozing rural charm and rustic character.

Review: Repawter Duke
After an exhausting walk round Croome Court National Trust with my girlfriend Luna and hoomans it was time for food. The hoomans had booked a table at The Nightingale.
It's a rural country pub part of the Vintage Inn chain and importantly dog friendly. On the bar is biscuits for hounds and water bowls are available.
Our table had the reserved sign on it and Star and Luna crashed out on their beds.

It did mean that the waiting staff carefully stepped around them. The waiter who served the hoomans did fuss us all. The table behind also had a family who used to own greyhounds.
The menu has fixed price menus during lunch and evenings in the week. The Sunday menu was roast dinners and even a 3 roast combi, as well as burgers and other things.

Hoodads pork belly looked great and then a platter of vegetables.

Hoomom and our friends had turkey. They happily changed the veg for hoomom to have garden peas (which were cooked well but often over cooked in places).
Hoomom had the sticky toffee pudding and custard whilst hoodad had a double expresso 4 pints of soft drinks 2 medium red wines, 1 double expresso.

4 roast dinners and 3 puddings - £81.40
Was good value as the food was very tasty.

A definite paws up from me
