Flee Whippet

Tell me a little bit about yourself.
I am a 7 year old whippet girl. I live in Blenheim, Marlborough, New Zealand. Marlborough is a wine growing region but I don't drink. My hobbies are running & barking (simultaneously), chasing bunnies & my ball, twitter & my squizzer collection. I also enjoy swimming in the summer.

How many humans/siblings do you have and long have you had them?
I have 2 humans (Twitter: @bobegeo & @narrowdogwrkshp) but alas no brofur or sisfur. Mum says we are on the lookout for a Wilf (cf. multiple Wilf Whippets on twitter) so I still harbour some hope of company.

Do you work? If so where/what do you do?
No I don't work. I send mum out instead. Frankly she needs the socialisation. I have visited her workplace in the past. But it was boring & I peed on her boss's carpet.

If you could choose your name what would it be?
I would call myself Waiata, which is the Maori word for song.

What is your favourite food?
Roast lamb is my favorite food. Although mum always says I'm not very food orientated which makes me hard to train.

Where is your favourite place to be?
My favorite place is the beach. Specifically Moturata beach near my old home down south. I miss it a lot. We're going down south for xmas so I will get to visit it at least once with some of my old friends while I'm there.

What is your favourite way to entertain yourself (annoy your humans)?
I eat grass - for some reason it drives my humans insane, so I do it every chance I get!

What is your greatest accomplishment?
I can swim to retrieve a ball from the water. I consider this differentiates me from many whippets who either don't do water in any form, or wouldn't retrieve if life as we know it depended on it. I find both pursuits very satisfying.

What is your next goal in life?
Get a brofur or sisfur!

If you could be/do anything for a day, what would it be?
I would be a deerhound for a day & give my big friend Skye a run for her money!

Finally and most importantly...What was your human’s most embarrassing moment?
Satisfyingly my mum's most embarrassing moment was one of my finest. I bagged a bunny in front of a class of school kids singing xmas carols on the banks of the Taylor River last year.
