Hello everyone,
My name is Rolo. I am a brindle greyhound and have never raced. I am fixed, jabbed, tagged and ready for my forever sofa.
Age:
I was born in March 2022 and am looking for a home with previously trained staff that are familiar with greyhounds.
Child friendly:
Being a two year old, I am still a bit of a puppy and can be bouncy and a bit over playful. So smaller humans may end up getting accidentally pushed over during my play time. I would place myself in the ‘under assessment’ with small humans.
Other dogs:
Staff here say I am working progress around other dogs.
Pet friendly:
I would definitely put a firm no to small furries. I am still too young and staff say I am allegedly unruly. How rude!
Personality:
As a greyhound pup I am still at my, well what would I call, my exploration stage in life.
I have recently been on a weekend foster with volunteers who had a fun packed weekend. They described me as a puppy who is full of mischief! I would cal that being inquisitive. They also said I did really well with toilet training and only had one little accident.
I enjoyed exploring the volunteers home. I managed to shove my pointy snout into everything and even started my very own collection. I managed to ‘collect’ various items including shoes and coats.
While there I also discovered that kitchen surfaces were built just at the right height for me. Although unfortunately the humans kept playing hide the food, but I kept checking. They started watching me like a hawk and ’NO’ became word of the day.
Outside on walks I am realising the world is a very curious place. I am still learning about the world and needs to take time to absorb everything. I may benefit from being walked in quieter areas initially so that I can adjust to life outside kennels.
I am looking for a home with humans who are around most of the time to teach me the ropes of a home life and to give me attention. Staff say I am a cheeky fuss pot!
