Home Run Hounds increase branches.
Home Run Hounds are proud to announce that as of Jan 1st 2024, we became three branches.

With branches now at Wombourne, Stourbridge and Lichfield, our maximum capacity homing spaces has increased to fifty.

About Home Run Hounds.

Home Run Hounds started in November 2022 by Claire Butler and Tracey Parbery as a Community Initiative Company (CIC) with one site at wombourne, Staffordshire.

Claire has over 30 years experience with the breed including volunteering at several homing charities.

Tracey has been involved with Greyhounds for several years and while Chair of a large Charity Homing Centre for five years, winning an award and homing over 1000 greyhounds with the volunteer team in her time as Chair Home Run Hounds offers Foster To Adopt which means that potential adopters can foster that hound for two weeks to see if both pet and family are suited. This takes the pressure of both families and hounds who all need time to settle in to a new life.

Home Run Hounds will consider all ages when homing a greyhound allowing the older generation to continue to enjoy a faithful friend’s company into their elder years reducing loneliness and increasing mental stimulation.

Home Run Hounds also works with the Community to benefit the area by involving both homed and homeless hounds in activities which can benefit both people and hounds.

These activities include:-
Working with various Care Homes in the area to visit residents .
Visiting End of Life Care Homes to brighten up patients last days.
Group Community talks to all ages

Women’s Institute Evening talks with the presence of homed hounds
Supporting various Weight Watcher Groups, about increasing weight loss through walking activities.
Working with the disabled to enhance their mental and physical experiences.
Working with Work Experience Pupils who want to work within the homing environment

We believe Home Run Hounds makes a difference and from our visits and interactions. Also with over 230 volunteers we aim to ensure that the perfect forever homes are found for all greyhounds in our care.
