Four years through the lens of a smartphone

I caught up with Ian Stephens as he prepares to publish his third book
What started as a simple idea has now become part of everyday life.

For over four years now, I have shared a photograph every single day without missing one. Each image is accompanied by a little humour, positivity, mindfulness and inspiration, showing that you do not have to travel far to discover something special.

Most of the photographs are taken on local walks, proving that nature, wildlife and moments of beauty can often be found right on our doorstep if we simply slow down and take notice.

Early August will mark an exciting milestone as I publish my 1,500th consecutive daily post, a journey that has connected me with people not only locally but around the world.

Early August will also see the publication of my third book, bringing together another year's worth of photographs and stories. Initially, the book will only be available online, which has the added benefit of allowing readers to zoom in and fully appreciate the details within each image.
My hope has always been simple: to encourage people to pause for a moment each day, enjoy the world around them and discover that inspiration can often be found in the ordinary.
After all, every day has a story waiting to be noticed.

Every penny raised from book sales continues to support two local charities.
