 Tigger's Tails - May 2022

Hi Pals,
First of all I have very sad news that our repawter Floyd bimbled across the Rainbow Bridge on the 28th of March.

I held off repawting the sad news because his human was suffering badly from leaky eyeballs.

I wish to thank Floyd for his entertaining furshion column. Not to mention the gossip back stage at Paris Furshion week.
So I raise a paw and bid a fond farewell to Floyd and hope he entertains everyone across the Rainbow Bridge with his Furshion Column.
Thank you Floydie, cheers and run free pal!

I am pleased to say the warmer weather means that training my human can resume. You have no idea how hard it is to motivate them and get them outdoors in the cold weather. BOL!

We walked around the Queen Elizabeth II Lake. It is an easy route to walk although it is on grass for the first half, it is not too bad for walking your human. When we went is was really quiet so I was able to work my human on the long lead. They have to anticipate my direction and speed so that they can let out or gather in the lead as necessary.

Half way around our walk my human was doing so well I thought I would reward them. So when they asked me to com back to them...I did straight away with no detours and stood patiently beside them. They were so happy it was embarrassing! Humans are so easily pleased at times. BOL!

Talking of being out and about, I need to let everyone know about one of my quirks and not to be alarmed. Unlike the poor ancient human being walked by their dog. Who nearly freaked out - the human, not the dog. Although the dog wasn’t too impressed either. BOL!

I used to only do it when I saw another sighthound, who although some of their humans raised an eyebrow or two, did wait to see what I was doing. Since lockdown, I could do it to any dog I see out on my walks.

If I see a dog, but not every dog, I start a low but increasingly louder almost growl. This is the point where most humans look alarmed.

However I continue this growl until it becomes a woo hoo Sort of call that is sometimes accompanied with me doing a mini dance on my front two paws which I think is cute and endearing. Although my human thinks it is comical and embarrassing. How rude!

Whatever you think it is, just remember if you see me out and about and hear me start to make strange noises, please do not recoil in fear as I am probably just winding up to my full woo hoo greeting to you and your human.

Do you have any training wins or fails with your humans. Or do you have any little quirks or rituals that you have to do?
If you do, let me know and I will make and article about them to see if we all have our unique quirks or what we do is more common than we think.

Nose bump to you
