Greetings friends.
Blimey there was a storm down here in Brighton last night, huge lightening strikes and very, very loud thunder. I spent most of the night glued to Elaine on the bed. In fact this whole week there have been lots. We've just spent a couple of nights in Hayling Island and there was a massive storm, it's all very old school! I hope my friends over the country have been ok.

So the last time I wrote I'd been to Spain and travelled back through France. We'd first stopped on the Atlantic coast just north of Biarritz in a tiny place called Ondres. It's not an area we'd stayed in before but we'd heard that the beaches were beautiful, and indeed, they were. Huge sways of sand, perfect waves and literally no one around. There was a lovely little campsite and a beach bar that was dog friendly. I imagine it would be packed in the summer but for a spring stopover it was perfect. (Elaine is still sweeping sand out of the van now though!) We then headed up towards Calais and parked for the night near Lac de Saint Cyr, it's just of the motorway north of Poitiers but it's one of those random places we stop at that we love. A gorgeous fishing lake, a friendly bar and so so quiet at night. Another for the list!! Then of course, off to my vet in Neufchatel en Bray before a last night in Calais.

It's always super duper to be home and to be catching up with my friends again. I've caught up with Tilly whippet for sausages, Bertie for countryside walks and Teddy for sniffs in the local park. It's all go being a lurcher! I wonder where my next holibobs will be? Hopefully somewhere without thunder storms bol.
