The Capers of Cilla
- May 2025

Hola de Casa Cilla,
yep I have safely returned from my first big adventure which is apparently a big step for me.
Muy bien Cilla!
We travelled back through France stopping at Carcassonne and Neufchatel en Bray, the later being where the vets is for my wormer. Even us Europeans have to take a worming tablet before entering the UK, I was naturally not happy about the vet but the tablet came with some yummy food.

Happily back on the island of Wight I skipped straight to the park to tell my labrador amigo Otto all about my escapades, he was super impressed. Even more so because I am now off lead when it's safe. A massive achievement for a nervous dog but the trip away and huge beaches were the perfect training grounds, plus I am muy muy greedy so will recall for treats. Elaine says I have no manners but it's most useful.

My most exciting caper since returning was visiting a friend's boat, much smaller than the ferry I am used to but great fun. I got to watch (and bark) at sailors, my new favourite pastime. They wear big anoraks and always seem to have bags or trolleys so this is prime for barking. Bark, bark, bark. Or now as it goes, bark, check, treat, bark, check, treat, no bark.
Muy bien Cilla!

I also took my safety very seriously and wore a doggy lifejacket that was a paw me down from Doris. She loved wearing clothes.... I generally do not.

Right vamos,
I'm off to lick the treat cupboard door..... Cills x

Good capers: Ferries, boats, barking, Otto

Bad capers: Life jackets, sailors, trolleys, flags
