The Capers of Cilla
- September 2025
Hola friends,
It's been a lovely summer so far, lots of sunshine. And being a Spanish rescue I am really, really loving it. Although I have noticed that my UK doggy friends don't go to the park at lunch time which is muy confusing for a pup who wants to play all the time. Pobre Cilla!
Cowes has been super busy as you can imagine, so it's been a big old learning curve for me. I've learnt about sailing regattas which are noisy with flappy sails, I've heard cannons and fireworks (the later I didn't like) and I have discovered picnics. Now picnics are mucho fun and a great cure for my fear of humans, I can overcome any person encounter when a blanket and sandwiches are on offer....bravo for picnics. I also like ice creams and have noticed that small humans will dismount those pesky scooters when holding ice cream. This is very much a bonus.
I share my love of picnic with my bestest new amiga, Toffee. She's an 8 year old rescue greyhound who was very fast in her day but now likes to potter around the park. I LOVE her, she's muy smart and knows all the picnic stealing tricks. Her owner lets me walk around with Toffee as long as I hold onto her lead, this stops me jumping on her (cos that's funny) or bashing her with my bum (also funny). Toffee is the best sausage roll snaffler I have ever met, muy bien Toffee.
Right I'm off to the park to find my picnic ruining partner in crime....
adios Cills x
