Jaynie and Kenny

Tell me a little bit about yourself.
Kenny: Me Kenny will be 8 on 22 March this year. My hoos adopted me on 21 October 2018. I am a black houndie, very handsome with bootiful eyes. The trainer the hoos got me from was a nice person. I lived inside and had a sofa. I had a different trainer interstate before but he was not a nice person and I was not happy. I did win one race and then decided I didn't want to do that anymore. So here I am!

Jaynie: Me Jaynie is nearly 12. I is a pretty black girl with a bit of grey now. I came from the nice trainer, the second one that Kenny had. I lived inside and had a sofa. I was quite a good at racing and had 78 starts and won or placed 25 times. Then when I was 4 I broke a toe and that was the end of my racing and I was very happy to retire.

The nice trainer found our hoomans through the local greyhound walking group.

Do you work? If so where/what do you do?
We do not work. We are Greyhounds! We are very good at being zorsted and lazing around and getting lots of the hoos attention. We have two sniffaris a day. Kenny smells everything, me Jaynie is less interested in every blade of grass but I like snatching pieces of kangaroo poo if I get the chance. The hoos both work for themselves so quite rightly their days revolve around us.

What is your favourite type of music?
We likes lots of different music as long as its not too loud and noisy. Jaynie likes classical music best as she says she is more refined and gentile than me Kenny.

If you could choose your name what would it be?
Kenny: I could be Clark Kent and be Superhound. I am, after all, a super houndie.

Jaynie: I like being Jaynie because it suits me, but I'd consider Harriet or Charlotte as it sounds very refined.

What is your favourite food?
Sossiges! Oh and cheese too.

Have you taught your humans any tricks?
We haz taught them to play the "make the bed" game. We dig up our bed, stare at it because we can't possibly lie on a messy bed, the hoos make it and we dig it up and repeat over and over for a fun time.

What is your favourite way to entertain yourself (annoy your humans)?
Kenny: I like to sniff EVERYTHING when out on sniffari even if the hoos are in a hurry. Hoomum says "it's a walk not a smell-fest" but I disagree.

Jaynie: I am never annoying. I don't play with toys so much now but I really like playing "the paw of more" and making them feel guilty when they have to stop.

What is your greatest accomplishment?
Kenny: I won one race then flatly refused to do that again. That got me into my foreva home. That was brilliant!

Jaynie: Training Kenny when he arrived 2 years after me, he hadn't had good time at the first trainer and was quite stressed, but it didn't take me long to get him to relax. The hoos helped (they've had houndies since 1999) but it was mainly due to me.

What is your next goal in life?
Kenny: Hoomum says I need to learn to do stairs so I can go downstairs without having to go around the house outside. Not fun in rain or blazing sun. I'm not convinced. I'm nearly 8 and have done perfectly well without using stairs.
I remember I did do stairs once though at the beach when we were on a houndie group walk. I couldn't let the others know I was scared of stairs!
But a better goal is to convince the hoos to buy more sossiges.

Jaynie:
I would like to get to 13 or 14 like two of my brofurs, Boris and Shane. I am getting a bit frail but am otherwise in good health.

If you could be/do anything for a day, what would it be?
Jaynie & Kenny: we would both like to be able to visit all our HoundsOfTwitter frends, being transported by magic from place to place then home again.

Finally and most importantly... What was your human’s most embarrassing moment?
That would be when brofur Shaney did a very big poo in the middle of the main intersection at the village Christmas pageant a few years ago.
