Tout tout pals,
I'm on the road again.

As I have a French pet passport I have to have my rabies vaccination administered by a French vet (only they can write on the document) so it's a very, very, good excuse for a holiday!

The motorhome was fired up and Calais inbound we were. First stop, obviously Calais for an evening in the local bar and the obligatory dog friendly curry house. We always go there, Le Punjab, as the curry is fab and the people lovely. This time one of the waiters was from Lancing, nr my home town of Brighton, and all of his family were there too, randomly. They had a lovely time laughing at their local dog in a French curry house!

Then off to Lac D'Orient as it's a decent 5 hour drive and then south of Dijon to park up in a farmer's field, as you do. It was wonderfully quiet with only 6 pitches but it really was in the middle of nowhere.
Our next night needed to be somewhere with a little more action, well at least a shop and water for the van. My humans were getting somewhat smelly by now! So we stopped of at a little island called La Roche de Glun on the Rhone river. It was surprisingly sweet and we'll definitely go back. A small medieval village, bar, patisserie and great cycle path.

The campsite should have been 12 euros but a nice French local let us stay for free, everyone else paid so we'll have to take him a beer next time we go!

Now we're off to family in Montpellier before heading south to Spain.... rabies jab done of course!!
