Hey pals and happy Autumn...
gosh that seems to have come around quickly. It's official time to dust off those pyjamas and jumpers, which, of course, is never a bad thing!

My pyjamas' first outing of the season was last week during an impromptu motorhome break. We popped over to Cowes in the Isle of Wight for seven nights just as the weather cooled and the heavens opened. In fact I think it was the first named storm for a while so perfect holiday timing as ever.

Kagouls on we traipsed happily around, visiting most sides of the island from Yarmouth to Shanklin and Ventnor.
It was super blustery at times but then also sunny for river walks by the Folly Inn and lunch at Colwell Bay. Obviously I went everywhere with the staff, the island is doggy friendly and lots of places have doggy menus. The best doggy pub is by far The Fountain on Cowes High St, it's a hotel with doggy friendly rooms and has a full canine menu complete with roast dinner! I actually would like to live there, in the hotel, full time. They even have a wall full of dogs, local and tourist, that have visited.

The ferry back was unusually choppy swaying up and down in the waves, car alarms blaring and people looking green. I didn't care though being an old sea dog. Apparently I'm 'a good traveller' but truth be told I am merely lazy and happy to snooze in any conditions bol.

Right talking of snoozing, I'm off for my thirteenth nap of the day zzzzzz
