Initially, GHS Direct concentrated its efforts on the leisure industry supplying to pubs, clubs, hotels, restaurants and other outlets such as nursing and care homes. Gradually, with a diverse customer database, GHS Direct turned to the animal care industry and has since gone on to produce a range of anti-bacterial and anti-viral disinfectants along with surface sanitisers specific to the animal care sectors.
GHS Direct supplies to customers throughout Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Eire and is considered to be one of the UK’s leading independent suppliers of detergents to all market sectors. With many years of experience, GHS understands the needs and requirements of all its customers and aims to offer quality, tested and approved products that suit customers’ hygiene needs at all times.
GHS Direct’s customer database continues to expand and the company prides itself on its ability to supply quality products to outlets of differing sizes; whether a local pub or small veterinary practice to a group owned chain of restaurants or boarding kennels. As a company committed to promoting the hygiene and welfare of all animals, its products are formulated to prevent disease and sickness, control infection and stop cross-contamination. Most products are supplied in a concentrate form allowing for dilution according to requirements, passing on value savings to customers.
In addition to manufacturing and supplying detergents, GHS Direct also offers a wide range of paper ware and glass ware products, enzyme cleaners, washing powders, heavy duty black sacks and other ancillary items suited to the leisure and animal care industry. All the company’s products conform to strict COSHH regulations and where necessary, individually tested to verify efficacy as stated. Its liquid products are made to the highest standard and most are bio-degradable. Many of the ingredients used are from a natural/organic source with a suppliers’ guarantee of the non-use of animal testing.
GHS Direct became officially ‘Leaping Bunny Certified’ (Cruelty Free International) in August 2015. We are proud to be a cruelty free company. All of our own household, cosmetic and animal grooming products are certified as not tested on animals under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, the international gold standard for products that ae free from animal testing. We adhere to a fixed cut-off date policy and proactively monitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to the Leaping Bunny criteria. Our supplier monitoring system is also open to independent audit.
