While taking my human out for a walk. We came across a new art installation.

It is an art sculpture about the local history of mining in and around Blyth.

It is made of metal and is of a miner leaving the lift cage after working in the mine below.

As yet we have been unable to establish who the artist is as I refuse point blank to go near it and there does not seem to be any news about it’s arrival. When I find out I will let you all know. The sculpture is beside a very busy main road, so please ensure you are on lead at all times while visiting. It is within a residential and retail area. There is free parking nearby with a short walk.
