Access is via uneven ground, steps and banks. Manual wheelchair users are advised to bring an assistant due to the uneven, rough grass.
Disabled visitors can be set down close to the Visitor Centre. This needs to be arranged in advance so we can unlock the relevant gate at the right time and provide specific instructions.
There are no specified disabled spaces in the car park. The car park is approximately 100m from the Visitor Centre, down a narrow path and across a grass field.
The site is large and open with very little shelter. There are no seats inside the fort walls but there are 2 picnic benches and 3 seats adjacent to the Visitor Centre.
The ground is uneven, at multiple levels and contains multiple rabbit and mole holes and other trip hazards.
There is an unmarked sheer drop running the length of the eastern side of the site. The railway track is below.
