Leeks can be grown from seed or from cuttings from the plant that has just been harvested.

Humans usually eat leeks either raw or cooked.

Eating:
Leeks are part of the Allium family and are poisonous to dogs, cats and rabbitss.

Consuming leeks could leave them feeling very poorly and cause upset tummies.

Tummy upset can include signs of decreased appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, depression, abdominal pain, and drooling.

Eating larger amounts may cause red blood cell damage resulting in weakness, elevated heart rate, increased respiratory rate and effort, panting, pale gums, or red-colored urine.

Always seek veterinary advice.
