Cats: Could cause a bit of upset tummy as cats do not have the enzymes required to eat vegetation
Rabbits: rabbits don’t naturally eat root vegetables, but access in moderation if they start snacking on growing carrot leaves
Raw:
Dogs: Carrots fed raw are a good natural wormer. Can be roughly chopped up into big or small pieces and added to food
Cats: Must be chopped into smaller pieces, but will probably not thank you for a piece anyway.
Rabbits: quite surprisingly, do not eat a lot of carrots and should only be fed a small amount once or twice a week.
Cooked:
Dogs: Can be added whole, sliced or chopped to food
Cats: Small pieces can be added to food, , but will probably still not thank you for any.
Rabbits: Not safe to be fed cooked carrots
Storage:
It is better to try and harvest as you use the carrots.
Can be stored as long as they remain fresh to eat.
Can be frozen if they are to be cooked.
