Hey pals and a Happy New Year to you all.

It's all been about Christmas at casa Doris, which is pretty normal for all hounds in December.

It's always a shame when it's over eh?! I don't know about you but I get quite depressed after all the festivities are over. The tree goes and more importantly so do my adoring family visitors. After eight days of wonderful petting and extra treats I am quite bereft!

So what did everyone get up too? I live close to many pubs so obviously that was on the agenda and many a promenade down the seafront. You should have seen Brighton front on Christmas Day, it was packed with hounds in Christmas jumpers! Obviously New Year was quiet as I am not a fan of fireworks. I noticed a lot of my friends online were a little scare too. Thankfully I had a dark room and my calming spray bol.

Since then it's been a diet, of course, and generally sulking that it's all over. Brighton is a great place to live though and there is plenty going on to cheer me up. I may be near the sea but I'm only a short drive from the South Downs and open countryside. I often meet up with my doggy friends for a yomp in the fields.... naturally when it's not raining! I am also planning a new bigger trip, time to fire up that motorhome. I reckon going off to uber doggy friendly Germany will definitely perk my mood.

May the rain stop and the sun shine on you all...
