MooManBleu

Tell me a bit about yourself
My name is Bleu Hoover Stinton. I was born in a barn in South Dakota on a farm in the spring of 2010. My fur-mom was a working Blue Heeler dog. She energetically herds cattle everyday and, as we found out when I was 6 months old, she is quite the "socialite" of an evening. We thought my fur-dad was my fur-mom's neighbor, another svelte Blue Heeler who worked on his farm just to the west. But, at my 6 month weigh-in, I was already 45 pounds. The vet said I had quite a bit more growing to go and she said it looked as though I had some German Shepard in me. Turns out, when we checked in with my fur-mom, she sheepishly, (with a gleam in her eyes), suggested that my fur-dad might have been her neighbor at the farm to the east...a German Shepard.

I moved to Omaha with my human mom and dad when I was 5 weeks old. When I arrived, I met Poppy, their other fur baby. She was a 6 year old yellow Lab. She wasn't too happy to share she house with me in the beginning, but I won her over and we were the best of friends.

Mom says I was a very naughty puppy. Too smart for my own good. She tells people that I did $3700 worth of damage to her house, including eating holes in 11 wood balusters on he deck in a matter of one afternoon. Mom says God makes puppies cute because out cuteness saves us from ourselves and our naughtiness.

I moved away from Omaha with my mom, dad and Poppy, to Colorado in 2011. Colorado is a lot of fun. We hike, camp, ride in ATV's and spend a lot of time outdoors. I love the snow and mountains here.

My best fur-friend, Poppy, left us in 2014 for the Rainbow Bridge. Mom said it was important to understand that she didn't suffer anymore. Poppy crossed over to Rainbow bridge in the comfort of our home surrounded by the people who love her. I was the last one to kiss her on the nose before she closed her eyes for the last time. I missed her, but I was strong for mom and dad.

I might as admit right now that I am a momma's boy. I like to cuddle with her, but no one else.

In January, mom and dad brought me home my very own puppy. Her name is Daisy Diamond Stinton. She is a Collie, Blue Heeler mix and I love her. She is really smart and she keeps me on my toes. I'm doing my best to teach her all I know, but sometimes she doesn't listen to me and she gets herself in big trouble. Mom says she is "too smart for her own good" too. We have a lot of fun romping around together. You can follow her and her shenanigans on Twitter @Bleus_DaisyDoo

How many humans/siblings do you have long have you had them?
I don't have any human siblings. Poppy was my big fur-sister, and now I have a little fur-sister named Daisy. She is only 9 months old.

Do you work? If so where/what do you do?
I have a couple jobs. I am in charge of bringing all boxes and packages in from the front porch. I also keep my yard in check and free of pests and safe from intruders, and of late helping teach my little sister, Daisy her manners and the ropes around here. Mom also says that I am responsible for spreading love.

If you could choose your name what would it be?
I like my name. My mom likes to call me by all sorts of nicknames, too. I've learned to respond to any of the following: Moo, MooMan, BleuMan, BleuBear, LittlePrince, MooManBleu, BlueManChoo, Noodle and a whole bunch of other names I'm sure I'm forgetting.

What is your favourite food?
Do I have to have just one favorite? I really LOVE food. Mom says I'm food-motivated (whatever that means). All is know is the only thing I don't eat is limes. I really love asparagus, broccoli, carrots, all kinds of lettuce, pizza crust and, be still my beating heart...I lust after animal crackers!

Where is your favourite place to be?
I like to be wherever my people are. I can feel at home in any location if I have my pack with me. When it's time for bed, I can always be found sleeping in mom's closet. I love it in there. It is cool and dark like a cave and it smells like my people!

What is your favourite way to entertain yourself (annoy your humans)?
I love to sit outside and survey my yard from the top of the retaining wall. I also love to chew on things and hunt for big sticks, logs and just about any kind of wood. I also love using the water hose as a water pick on warm days.

What is your greatest accomplishment?
Mom was very proud of me when I learned to not nip at people's heels, she said people don't like that...go figure?!? But she was also happy when I graduated from my training class. But, I'm most proud of doing anything that makes mom smile.

What is your next goal in life?
I want to be a good big brother to my puppy, Daisy, but I'm excited to learn how to go on long rides in the ATV with mom.

If you could be/do anything for a day, what would it be?
I am very interested in cats. I sure would like to know what it's like to be a cat for a day.

Finally and most importantly...What was your human’s most embarrassing moment?
My mom is pretty silly. I would never tell her this, but she sings to me all the time and all I can say is, she better not quit her day job!
