Kai Whippet & Co review:
Kai and Co visit The Oldest Inhabited House In Scotland…. Traquair House….
Whilst we were on holiday in the Scottish Borders we visited the oldest inhabited house in Scotland… Traquair House. 27 Scottish Kings and Queens had visited there so we thought it must be good.
And so it was… it was doggy heaven. There is a woodland walk and it takes you right own to the River Tweed. The scenery was spectacular as was the run through the field of long grass before we arrived at the riverbank.
There is a lovely café called 1745 which serves good, affordable lunches, teas and snacks.
At Traquair they love dogs so much so that for the second year running they are holding a Dogs Day Out Event this month! The highlight of the day is the Companion Dog Show with classes such as owner who looks most like their dog, fastest sausage eater, obedience classes, best rescue dog and categories for children and adults.
If you visit the Scottish Borders or perhaps are staying in Edinburgh Traquair House really is a great day out.
PS Mum said I had forgotten to mention the brewery brewing its own ales….and the little craft shops….
