The Old Store was born from one very specific feeling. The love of all things bread. Making and eating it. So we decided this love needs to be shared…
And what better to accompany it than coffee, fresh juices, smoothies, cocktails and wine.

What we do
We are a microbakery and a coffee shop, serving delicious things in and on bread. Alongside it, you can enjoy expertly made coffee, fine tea, smoothies, juices, milkshakes or a brunch cocktail … or 7.

We take pride in working with some fantastic ingredients…
Our flour is organic and sourced from Shipton Mill and Wildfarmed. For our pastries, we use a wonderful cultured butter from The Edinburgh Butter Company. Our meat is sourced as locally as possible and provided by our butcher J.E. Howard just a couple of villages down from us. The black pudding comes from Fruitpig and it truly is one of the very best in the country. The smoked salmon is locally kiln smoked by the wonderful people at Staithe Smokehouse. We could go on…
Provenance and quality matter. And we want to celebrate that.

Are you dog friendly?
Yes, very much so.
Do you have parking?
No, we do not have any parking of our own, but parking in the village square, by the village playing field and in the surrounding streets is plentiful and free.
Do you cater to nut, gluten and dairy allergies?
Due to the size of our kitchen and prep space, we are unable to cater for any severe allergies.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Absolutely. We have a mobile ramp which we can provide upon request.
