Pupdates from Parliament
On the 18th of September 2023 the Animals (Low-Welfare Activities Abroad) Bill was given Royal Assent and is now an Act.

The Act prohibits the sale and the offering for sale, and the advertisement , in England and Northern Ireland, of low-welfare animal activities which take place abroad.
This is aimed to ban the advertising and sale of potential tourist attractions where animals are ridden, made to perform or have their picture taken with tourists.
It is also aimed to end the animals suffering from cruel and brutal training methods to force the animals to comply with their handlers and perform as part of the tourist attractions.
The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) already have guidelines and a list of activities which they classify as unacceptable.
