The Scratching Post
September 2024
Hi Pals!
August was an interesting month here.
The babies had their birthday (they were born sometime in August). They are one year old now! They still act crazy, though. That has not changed at all. But they are a little more calm than they were a few months ago (thank goodness). They aren’t quite as insane as they used to be…but still insane.
We, also, had to say goodbye to one of our piggy brothers, Chopin. It was unexpected and made us all very sad (especially Momma and Chopin’s piggy brother, Beethoven). Everyone is going to miss Chopin’s sassy piggy attitude and how he would want to eat everything. Beethoven won’t miss everything….like how Chopin would steal his food, or make him squeak to tell Momma they were hungry. Yes, Chopin would make Beethoven squeak so he wouldn’t have to. Don’t ask how or why. We just witnessed it happen a lot.
We are going to miss our piggy brother Chopin.
But we have the crazy babies to drive us insane and keep our minds occupied. We have a feeling that will never change with them. Don’t get us wrong, we may be older kitties, but we like to have fun and play too. But, they are like three little monsoons…always playing, and moving, and running, and causing chaos and destruction wherever they go.
What else…. We’ve seen lots of critters outside. They’re all raccoons. Does that matter?? Well, and one or two possums.
Oh, we saw one skunk a couple times.
Oh, and the usual squirrlies and birdies…and one tiny chipmunk.
It’s been slim pickings in the critter department this summer…so disappointing.
Maybe it’ll get better in the next few months.
Til Next Months,
All of Us
(except the babies)
