Baked Pineapple
Mum gets a veg and fruit box delivered every so often. This delivery we got a pineapple and I thought we could use that for my recipe. This recipe can also be baked for humans, which is only fair as we only use half of the pineapple and we don't want wastage.
Ingredients:
1/2 pineapple skinned and quartered
1/2 tsp ground ginger.
For humans as well as the above -
25g melted butter mixed with 1 tbsp runny honey
1 tsp mixed spice
Method:
1 Heat an oven to 180 fan.
2 Cut the quarters into halves and place the pineapple on a baking tray.
3 For dogs - sprinkle the ground ginger over the pineapple.
4 For humans - brush the pineapple with the butter & sprinkle over the ginger and mixed spice.
5 Bake in oven for 15 to 20 minutes until pineapple is golden.
6 Remove from oven and let it cool. A dollop of frozen yoghurt goes lovely with the pineapple.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 4 days - if it lasts that long! BOL!
