Tigger's Tails
- March 2024

Hi Pals,
Well it has been busy here at Tigger Club HQ.

First of all the broadband was upgraded to the new fibre optics instead of the ancient copper cable. Every time it rained or was windy the broadband signal dropped to the point the connection disconnected. There was also the issue that if my other human was watching something on TV through on of the streaming services, I would lose the internet. Or I could keep the internet and my other human’s programme would freeze.

There was the hope that fibre would be faster and give a constant connection. Although my human was quite surprised the new fibre is fed along the same path the old copper cable took, from the nearest pole to the house, I am not sure what my human as expecting? Some super science fiction sort of magic and trickery? BOL!

The first day of installation was delayed as some tree branches were in the way, so professional tree surgeons were heeded to trim the branches.

On the day, well rearranged day after the tree trimming, the engineer arrived early and managed to install the new fibre, even with me supervising and helping them by letting them throw my stuffed toy duck at them while they were waiting for the other engineers to string up the cable outside. Although when they started with the drill I kept well back.

Up to now the broadband speed seems to be a lot better and so far the signal has not dropped, like it did before.

In other news...
My human has bought a slow cooker. As with all new gadgets, we are having meals a plenty made in it. BOL! It is that good I may even do a review of it for next month.

Finally…
I would like to give a bark out to staff at National Trust’s Seaton Delaval Hall, who’s staff always greet me when I visit and laugh when in return I give them a greeting of indifference. BOL!
Although for me that is a huge improvement from stressing out around strangers. Thank you and one day I might give you a nose bump back.

Until next month
Nose bump to you
