Tigger's Tails
- July 2026
Hi Pals,
This month I thought I would share my expertise in culinary anticipation, where I will give an insight into the rituals of breakfast, lunch and dinner from my perspective.
To my humans meal times are events that occur during the day. To me they are not events, they are the absolute centre of the universe.
My humans measure meal times by their watches, where I measure meal times by smell, the angle of the sun and how loudly my stomach is rumbling.
Breakfast:
Now breakfast is the ultimate test of patience. As I lie in my bed with my stomach rumbling and the sun barely lighting the sky, my humans are still in their beds. Instead of lying in their beds, they should be leaping out of bed and already be filling my bowl with breakfast. Sometimes the sun is high in the sky before they get up! How can they be so lazy? Their tardiness severely affects my post breakfast snooze! There have even been times I have had to shout out to remind them to get out of bed!
Lunch:
Lunch time is more organised as my humans are already awake and already keeping track of the time, thank dogness! Sometimes lunch will be at home or outside somewhere if we are out and about exploring. This means that the actual food I get can be a bit of a lucky dip. It can be the plain old dog food, or a bit of cafe fare or pub grub placed into my bowl.
Dinner:
Dinner is almost always at home, so it is more organised and planned well in advance. I do have my own dog food, but I also get to enjoy some of the food my humans eat. The downside to this is that I have to wait until they have finished eating before I can eat. This doesn’t sound too bad, but humans have to be the slowest and most distracted creatures on earth. They slowly eat while looking at their phones or worse if they stop eating at times if are watching television. I feel I could fade away while waiting for them to finish! They should be more like me and just dive in and eat! BOL!
Dinner marks the last of the daily meals, but as I have trained my humans, I get a steady trickle of treats throughout the day too. So overall meal times are not too bad and although my humans have their moments, they are pretty good at keeping me fed.
Nose bump to you
Tigger
